The all new Hyundai Veloster has hit our showrooms with a bang. Its already being hailed as a great contender in the coupé market, scaring the likes of VW’s Scirocco and Honda’s CR-Z.

Its radical design, inspired by a high power sports bike, will be met with great anticipation as will all the standard equipment included. The standard equipment is very impressive, a seven inch touch screen entertainment system for a starter, complete with media player connection and a leather steering wheel with audio controls.

The first engine to be included will be a 1.6 directly injected four-cylinder engine mated to Hyundai’s first dual clutch. It delivers 138 bhp at 6,300 rpm, generating 123 lb-ft of torque at 4,850 rpm. There’s even a rumour that the Veloster will get a HP bump and a turbo fitted to later versions giving other hot hatches a run for their money.
