GOVERNMENT SCRAPPAGE SCHEME TO BE EXTENDED!
Great News for Government Scrappage Scheme!Following the recent announcement on 28th September 2009, Premier customers can continue to benefit from the fantastic Hyundai offers available on the Government Car Scrappage Scheme.
The business secretary Lord Mandelson spoke of how the scheme is being extended with a further £100 million funding to cover another 100,000 new cars, but the scheme will still end in February 2010 – only 5 months away!
How old is your car?
The extension of the scheme has also changed the rules as to how old your car must be to qualify. The date of first registration has been changed from before 31st August 1999 to before 29th February 2000 - an additional 6 months.
What do you need to qualify?
The vehicle you are trading in must:
- be a car weighing up to 3,500 kilograms (kg)
- be registered in the UK on or before 29th February 2000
- be registered with the DVLA in your name
- have been registered to you continuously for 12 calendar months before the order date of the new vehicle
- have a UK address on the registration certificate (log book – V5C)
- have a current MOT test certificate before date of order for the new vehicle
- be insured when the order for the new vehicle is placed
- have a valid road fund licence (tax disc)
