Veloster achieves 5 star Euro NCAP safety award
To join five of our other cars who have also achieved the impeccable 5 star Euro NCAP safety award the Veloster, rides up in style as well as safety. The results of the extensive test process include best in class scores for the 1+2 coupe.
The Veloster achieved 96% scores in the ‘adult occupant’ category, registering maximum points in the side impact barriers and the more severe side pole test in the ‘child occupant’ category, scoring 89%. These scores put the Veloster above other rivals such as the VW Scirocco, Astra GTC and Citroën’s DS4.
The electronic stability programme (ESP) and seatbelt reminder systems also helped to achieve the 71% in the ‘safety assist’ category. Other cars also listed as 5 star rating was our recently launched i40 Tourer.
