IS THIS THE PERFECT HACK TO DE-ICE YOUR WINDSCREEN IN THE COLD MORNINGS?
The man in the video is holding a bag that is full of warm water. It is advised NOT to pour boiling water from a kettle over frosted windscreens as that will crack them. However, this is a genius middle ground, given the bag contains warm water from the tap - and NOT straight-from-the-pot boiling water (You could mix the two though). It’s enough to melt the ice in a few fell swoops
P.S
What you don't see in the video and what we would additionally recommend - Is to have (any) disposable cloth or a piece of fabric in your car - Just to quickly wipe off any excess wetness left on the windscreen (with just a couple of swipes) - This will ensure that the liquid remaining from the condensation won't re-freeze straight after melting it! :) )
We wish you a peaceful winter time - and more importantly - Safe driving during the cold winter months!
